EU to provide Armenia over €200 mln under resilience plan

EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos announced in Yerevan that the European Union will allocate more than €200 million to Armenia under the second phase of the Resilience and Growth program.

Kos said the funds will stimulate investments in connectivity, resilience, and business development, reflecting Armenia’s commitment to reforms. She stressed that support will also cover transport, digitalization, trade, energy, and infrastructure, aligning with the Crossroads of Peace initiative.

Since 2021, more than €2.5 billion has been mobilized for Armenia. Kos also highlighted a new agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to improve customs operations and support displaced people and host communities. She emphasized that economic progress must be rooted in peace, calling the South Caucasus a key part of Europe’s wider transformation.
