Hakob Arshakyan, Deputy Speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly, took part in the Parliamentary Engagement 2025 forum held within the 2025 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund in Washington.
In his speech, Arshakyan emphasized the importance of effective collaboration between international financial institutions and national parliaments, particularly in supporting Armenia’s key strategic investment initiatives such as the Engineering City, Academic City, and Crossroads of Peace.
He extended his best wishes to the newly elected leadership of the IMF–World Bank Parliamentary Network and thanked the outgoing board members for their dedicated service.
The event brought together parliamentary delegations from dozens of countries for discussions on global economic trends, current challenges, and opportunities for legislative-institutional cooperation with financial bodies.
The Annual Meetings serve as a unique platform for parliamentarians worldwide to deepen their engagement in global development processes, share national experiences, and explore models of collaboration on global, regional, and local levels.
