Armenia, India to sign road transport agreement

Armenia and India are finalizing a bilateral agreement on international road transport, according to Armenia’s Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.

The ministry clarified that currently, there is no regulatory framework governing cargo or passenger road transport between the two countries, which hampers logistics operations and broader economic cooperation.

To address this, the Armenian side has drafted a proposed agreement titled “On International Road Transport between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Republic of India,” and has submitted it to Indian authorities for coordination.

A similar agreement is also being planned with China.
