PM’s spokesperson says old scenario repeated by local media

Foreign sources are fabricating false and provocative narratives, while certain internal actors are spreading them, said Prime Minister's spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan in a post on her official Facebook page, responding to false information published by the OdaTV website.

“OdaTV has once again circulated fake news, and several Armenian media outlets, without the slightest verification or source clarification, rushed to reprint this fake story, thereby, regardless of intent, becoming part of the disinformation chain.

It’s an old and overused scenario—foreign sources fabricate entirely false and provocative stories, and certain internal actors immediately spread them, attempting to create an atmosphere of distrust and further polarization within society.

It is clear that as the electoral process approaches, disinformation attacks targeting Armenia’s statehood, institutions, and public officials will intensify,” she wrote.

The spokesperson denied a report from the Turkish press alleging that Prime Minister Pashinyan had “pledged to build 10 mosques.”
