Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan met with Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, during a working visit to the United Arab Emirates on November 17. They discussed a range of issues related to potential defense cooperation between the two countries.
Both sides expressed readiness to strengthen bilateral ties in the field of defense and agreed to sign a cooperation agreement. The document will define the main directions of collaboration in this sector.
The meeting also covered regional and international security matters.
Armenia’s Ambassador to the UAE, Karen Grigoryan, was also present at the meeting.
