Within June this year Armenia’s casinos were fined 2.2 million AMD, and organizers of prize-winning games were fined 2.7 million AMD, press office of Armenia’s finance ministry reports.
Within June this year the finance ministry issued licenses for one prize-winning game and one gambling house. 4 licenses for organizing prize-winning games became invalid, and additional 5 licenses were suspended. Besides, 6 violations in the sphere of prize-winning games were recorded, which can result in suspension of the license.
The industry paid 85 million AMD of state duties within June, and 290 million AMD of state duties over January-June. Over January-June the amount of state duty paid by organizers of prize-winning games reached 190 million AMD and by casinos – 100 million AMD.
As at July 1, 2009 111 licenses for prize-winning games, 11casino licenses and 4 lottery licenses are valid on the territory of Armenia.
