ROBERT KOCHARIAN LEFT FOR MOSCOW TO PARTICIPATE IN COLLECTIVE SECURITY COUNCIL SESSION

Today Armenian President Robert Kocharian left for Moscow to participate in the jubilee session of the Council of the heads of the Collective Security Treaty member states. Defense Minister Serge Sargsian, Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian, Armenian ambassador to Russia Armen Smbatian and other officials will accompany the state head. Let us remind at present Robert Kocharian presides at the Collective Security Council, which also includes the Russian, Belarus, Kazakh, Kirgiz and Tajik Presidents. The Collective Security Council session is devoted to the tenth anniversary of signing the Treaty. The summit of the Presidents will follow the sessions of the Council of Foreign Ministers and the Council of Defense Ministers of the Treaty on Collective Security member states. A number of Armenian President’s bilateral meetings are planned in the course of the visit.
