The central board of Hnchakian traditional Armenian Social-Democratic party has spread a statement, in which it stresses it does not have anything in common with the party of the same name operating in Armenia. It follows from the document that the organization called «Hnchakian Social-Democratic party of Armenia» illegally uses the party name, emblem and anthem. The legal assignee of the 115-year-old party in Armenia is Hnchakian Social-Democratic party registered by the Republic Ministry of Justice in November 1991. The statement says that Ernest Soghomonian, who has in his time headed the party, is expelled from the party ranks. Hnchakian Social-Democratic party central board has not made its decision on the candidate to run for the President office yet and considers discussion of the question untimely.
