In its Thursday session, RA Government approved the program aimed at constructing an agrarian-tourist centre on the territory of Goght rural community, not far from Garni-Geghard highway.
The program was elaborated by Urban Development Ministry, by the recommendation of Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. Construction project will be selected based on bid results. The company offering the highest price will be declared a winner. During program implementation, ecologically pure products and solar energy will be encouraged.
By proposing such initiative, the Government introduces a new method for attracting investments. This practice is common in Chile. The essence of the project is that Government itself elaborates business programs and, after receiving approval by relevant specialists, selects a private investor based on contest results.
Such projects, if implemented successfully, may later apply to such spheres as agriculture, infrastructures, tourism and other spheres.
