On September 23, Aram Khachaturyan trio is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Yerevan Chamber Music Hall will host a concert and presentation of discs containing Arno Babajanyan and Dmitri Shostakovich’s records.
Aram Khachaturyan trio, formerly known as “Arsika”, was created in 1999. It has given concerts in Switzerland, Central and South Americas, Russia and Armenia. Trio has also participated in Schubertiade (Lausanne), ” Festival de las Artes” (Costa Rica) and “Festival International Cervantino” (Mexico) festivals. Its performances were often transmitted on TV channels. Musical critics indicate the trio’s virtuous performance, genuine musicality and sense of ensemble style. Since 2006, it has been performing concerts with participation of the following musicians: Armine Grigoryan (piano), Karen Shahgaldyan (violin) and Karen Kocharyan (violoncello). Over the past 4 years, the ensemble has carried out educational activities in Armenia, performing concerts in Yerevan and regions, as well as conducting master classes with school and university students.
