Today the National Assembly of Armenia passed the law on institution of «Tigran the Great» and «Vardan Mamikonian» orders. According to the law, senior command military personnel will be decorated with «Tigran the Great» order for exceptional services in the sphere of defense and providing national security. The solicitation to award with the order is to be presented by the Government, Ministries of Defense, Internal Affairs and National Security. The order is worn on the right side of the chest over the others if there are such. «Vardan Mamikonian» order is conferred to top and senior officer military personnel for exceptional bravery while defending the Fatherland and doing the soldier’s duty, as well as for extraordinary services in the sphere of army construction and troop combat training. Application for conferring the order is presented by the Government, as well as by the Ministries of Defense, Internal Affairs and National Security. The order is worn on the right side of the chest under «Tigran the Great» order.
