Chief of the general staff of the armed forces of Georgia Jony Pirtsikhalishvili arrived in Yerevan today. Armenian Ministry of Defense press service reports after the negotiations with the representatives of the military and political leadership of the country signing a protocol on bilateral cooperation in the defense sphere is planned. The general staff chief’s visit will become the first step directed at realization of the agreement signed last autumn by the heads of the military departments of Armenia and Georgia in the course of Armenian Defense Minister Serge Sargsian’s official visit to Tbilisi. Let us remind that the document provides for holding regular consultations and coordination of the activities of the military structures of the two countries.
