AZERI DEPUTY ACCUSES TURKMEN PRESIDENT OF ATTEMPT TO STIR UP DISCORD BETWEEN AZERBAIJANI AND TURKMEN PEOPLES

Azerbaijani parliament deputy Yagub Mahmudov has expressed concerns regarding «that Azerbaijani monuments of medieval Azerbaijani State, are called Turkmen». It should be reminded that the matter concerns the monument of Turkmen culture-Mausoleum of Kara-Koyunlu- that was found and restored. In deputy’s opinion, the Azeri parliament has to express its attitude toward «the attempts of Turkmen President Saparmurat Niyazov to stir up discord in the relations between Azerbaijani and Turkmen people».
