KARABAKH CONFLICT SETTLEMENT METHODOLOGY IMPROVEMENT TO PRECIPITATE SOLUTION OF PROBLEM, OSCE CHAIRMAN-IN-OFFICE THINKS

«All our efforts have aimed at improving our methodology implemented in Karabakh conflict settlement to precipitate settlement of the conflict». OSCE chairman-in-office, Portuguese foreign minister Jaime Gama has stated this in Baku. According to the diplomat, the Paris and Key-West principals form an important basis of the negotiations. «At the present time our aim is guaranteeing the continuation of the process», has said Gama. According to him, the Minsk group co-chairs try «to develop new proposals taking into consideration all the details». Meanwhile, as Baku news agencies report, Gama has deviated from the direct answer regarding the question whether OSCE will recognize Nagorno Karabakh as a part of Azerbaijan. «There is a common opinion. And that opinion meets the classical standards. I think that taking into consideration the real situation and continuing the talks a final answer regarding that question has to be found», he has said. The OSCE chairman-in-office has added that international organizations do not and can not take the place of the parties to the conflict having sovereign rights. «We only create frames for the conflict settlement», Gama has concluded.
