"Last year, Armenia coped with the challenges of global economic crisis and maintained a stable macroeconomic situation in the country. The outcomes of January show economic growth, which means that the country stepped on the way to economic recovery, " <b> Tigran Davtyan </b>, Armenian finance minister addressed the 7-th annual international forum Bridge in Tsakhkadzor.
The crisis revealed vulnerabilities of Armenian economy, which is not sufficiently diversified, he said.
According to Davtyan, in the midst of crisis, the financial and banking systems of Armenia remained stable, and the confidence of the population in the banking system has improved. "A recession has been recorded in public finances, but the government managed to secure the budget expenditure by attracting both domestic and outside resources," Tigran Davtyan said.
According to Tigran Davtyan, in 2010 the Government of Armenia can be moderately optimistic about the development of the country, stepped on the path to economic recovery.
