PEOPLE IN TBILISI THINK MOSCOW USES TENSION IN GEORGIA’S KODOR GORGE TO IMPEDE BAKU-JEYHAN OIL PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION

The tension in Kodor gorge in Georgia where Chechen illegal formations hide is used by Moscow to impede the transmission of Azerbaijani oil to Turkey passing over Russia. President of Georgia’s international oil corporation Giya Chanturia has expressed such a version. When having a speech at the Baku-Erzrum project presentation ceremony he stated ” the bombing of Georgia’s territory by Russian planes aims to impede the realization of Baku-Jehan oil pipeline project”. According to Chanturia, “the USA and Britain are interested in the project realization that is why to stop this process is not success even if Russians drop thousand bombs”.
