Azerbaijan political leadership representatives refuse to comment the statements of Russian media, particularly RTR TV channel, that well-known terrorist Khattab who fought in Chechnya, stated in Azerbaijan for several days and illegally left for Pakistan and then to Afghanistan. According to ITAR-TASS agency information, Usama bin Laden has personally asked Khattab to lead the defense of Kunduz that is one of the last bulwarks of “Taliban” movement. The leaders of the law-enforcement bodies of Azerbaijan that were afraid of spreading of the information about the second top terrorist’s visit to Baku state the information of the world news agencies does not correspond to the reality and they “purpose one aim, that is to promote worsening of Azerbaijan-Russia relations”.
