Today deputies of the National Assembly of Armenia voted for taking away the deputy mandate of their colleague Vano Siradeghian, who had been absent at 219 sittings of the Parliament without good reason. The law says if a deputy fails to attend over two third of the sittings of a parliamentary session, he loses his power. Siradeghian, who was Minister of Internal Affairs, Mayor of Yerevan and Chairman of “Armenian national movement” party board in his time, goes into hiding at present. As it is known, he is accused of committing grave crimes, including organization of assassinations. Let us remind only three weeks ago the bill on depriving Siradeghian of the deputy authority was turned down by majority of the Parliament.
