IT UNLIKELY THAT US RENDER DIRECT AID TO AZERBAIJAN, THINKS ARMENIAN DEFENSE MINISTER

The repeal of 907 Section of Freedom Support Act is not desired for Armenia. This has been stated be Armenia’s defense minister Serge Sarkisyan. He has emphasized that it is not necessary to repeal 907 Section in order to assist Azerbaijan in its struggle against terrorism. “There are different ways to do that, for example, through Turkey”, has stated the minister. According to him, the sanction restriction will not have tragic results for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. «Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh can not be threatened by risk if the Americans assist Azerbaijan directly, as there are not any terrorist organizations in Armenia or Nagorno-Karabakh», has stated Serge Sarkisyan. The head of military department of Armenia thinks that it is unlikely that the US renders direct assistance to Azerbaijan, especially by way of weapons.
