Armenia’s justice minister David Arutyunyan has stated today that the negotiations of Armenia’s government and Greek Company OTE for the introduction of per minute payment for city calls are stopped. (OTE has 90% of shares of “ArmenTel”, the monopolist in the sphere of telephone communication in Armenia.) The minister has not mentioned the reasons for the breakdown of talks and expressed his hope that the negotiations will be managed to resume. Arutyunyan has stated it is possible that the government will appeal to the international arbitrage in order to bring a suit.
