The winner of the tender on the privatizing of Armenia’s distributive networks will be named during the first week of December 2001. As “Arka” informs Armenia’s justice minister David Arutyunyan has stated about that today. It should be pointed out, earlier it was planned to finish the tender at the end of September 2001. According to the minister, the term extension was due to the negotiation process and document preparation. “Several problems were brought up at its preliminary stage and they were the reasons for the tender delay”, said D. Arutyunyan.
While answering the question whether the term extension of the tender is connected with the participation of Russian companies in the privatizing process, Arutyunyan said ‘the tender terms are the same for all participants”. He has emphasized that the deadline for introduction of applications is tomorrow evening, then the company meeting all the tender terms will be the winner.
It should be reminded that according to the preliminary data, Russian companies RAO “EES of RUSSIA”, “Gazprom”, Itera holding company and Spanish Fenosa company will participate in the tender for privatizing of Armenia’s distributive networks.
