LORD RUSSELL JOHNSTON HAS ARRIVED IN BAKU

The chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the European Council lord Russell Johnston arrived in Baku with a three-day visit yesterday. Johnston finishes his tour of many days around the countries of South Caucasus. Today his meeting with chairman of Milli mejlis Martuz Aleskerow will take place in Baku. He will also address the parliamentarians with his speech. After this he will begin negotiations with the foreign minister Vilayat Guliev and the heads of religious confessions of the country. It is assumed that the head of PACE will become familiar with the living standards of the refugees that live in the suburbs of the Azerbaijani capital. Azerbaijan’s President Heydar Àliev will receive the chairman of the PACE.
