ROBERT KOCHARYAN ADDRESSED WITH A STATEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE COUNCIL OF THE AGREEMENT ON COLLECTIVE DEFENSE REGARDING THE TERRORIST ACTS IN THE US

Only collective reason and collective activities can resist the international terrorism. That is said in the statement spread by the chairman of the Council of collective defense of the ACD, president Robert Kocharyan on behalf of countries, members of the Agreement on collective defense (Russia, Armenia, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Krgistan). It is stressed in the statement that the terrorist acts raise condemnation and sorrows regarding numerous victims. The countries-members of the ACD presented their condolences to American people and the families of the victims. “The events that happened revealed fragility not only of individuals but also the countries in the conditions of quickly increasing threat of international terrorism. The world is thrust with a direct confrontation in which no country can feel secure”, is pointed out in the statement.
On behalf of the countries-members of the ACD Robert Kocharyan stated that protecting their important interests, the countries-members of the Agreement consider their efforts as an natural part in the formation of effective international cooperation, based on the UNO principles and international law on regional and global levels. The ACD countries-members’ readiness to act directly in this way is again stressed in the statement.
