U.S. AMBASSADOR TO ARMENIA SAYS THERE IS NO POINT IN CE PARTICIPATION IN KARABAKH CONFLICT SETTLEMENT

OSCE Minsk Group should only be engaged in the Karabakh conflict settlement. U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Michael Lemmon said he was profoundly convinced in it. “As far as I know, the European countries and the international organizations have come to an agreement on authorizing the Minsk group to mediation mission in Karabakh,” – the Ambassador said. He expressed concern apropos of the statement made by President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Lord Russell-Johnston. Let us remind that the PACE President reported the Council of Europe intends to engage in the Karabakh conflict settlement. “The Minsk Group is not exhausted yet. Active negotiations continue and there is no point for someone to join the peace process,” – Michael Lemmon stated.
