Representative of the RA Meteorological Service Zaruhi Petrosyan said that no precipitation is expected in Armenia for 10 days, while the temperature regime will remain unchanged.
On August 6-7, the air temperature will increase by 1-2 degrees, amounting to 36-38 degrees in Ararat valley, Petrosyan told a press conference.
According to her, the index of ultraviolet irradiation grows under conditions of such hot and sunny weather, what affects people’s health. “To avoid ultraviolet irradiation, it is recommended to escape direct sun rays from 11:00am-03:00pm, if possible,” noted Petrosyan.
Besides, Zaruhi Petrosyan noted that there was no precipitation in Armenia for seven days, while the air temperature varied from 34 to 35 degrees, creating a fire hazardous situation.
“The high temperature regime, low relative humidity and wind contribute to fires development and propagation,” concluded Petrosyan.
