STEPAN DEMIRCHIAN CALLED UPON TO DISSOLVE PARLIAMENT

Today leader of People’s Party of Armenia Stepan Demirchian stated he did not see any sense in the existence of the parliamentary fraction of “Unity” block under the circumstances when the block per se had fell apart. (The People’s Party of Armenia is still a part of the block created in 1999 by the Republican Party.) In Demirchian’s words, dissolution of the Parliament and holding pre-term elections is the most correct step under the present conditions. “The acting Parliament does not express the people’s sentiments,” – he stated.
