TELEPHONE USERS HAVE A RIGHT TO BRING AN ACTION AGAINST “ARMENTEL” COMPANY FOR VIOLATING THEIR RIGHTS

Before introducing payment by minute for city calls, “ArmenTel” Company had to sign contracts with all its users. As reported by “Arka” agency, Deputy of Armenian National Assembly, member of interim parliamentary commission on examination of the Government’s activity in the field of communication, Hermine Naghdalian reported this during the round table organized by Women’s Independent Forum. In her words, contracts were not signed and “according to Armenian law on users’ rights protection, each user has a right to lay an action against “ArmenTel” Company for violating rights”. Naghdalian also noted that the first item of the treaty concluded between the Government of Armenia and “OTE” Greek Company envisaged equal service tariffs for all users. In her words, this is not so in reality.
