SERGE SARGSIAN PARTICIPATES IN MEETING OF CIS DEFENSE MINISTERS’ COUNCIL

Defense Minister of Armenia Serge Sargsian is participating in the regular meeting of CIS Council of Defense Ministers, which is taking place in Astrakhan. Two days earlier there in “Ashuluk” training ground joint technical exercises of air defense united system of CIS countries “Combat Commonwealth – 2001” had started. Anti-aircraft defense forces of Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan take part in the exercises. Chairman of Coordination Committee on Air Defense under the committee of CIS Defense Ministers, Commander-in-Chief of Russian Air Forces General Anatoli Kornukov is in command of the exercises.
