MACHINIST DIED IN A CRASH IN YEREVAN SUBWAY

Yesterday a machinist died in a crash in Yerevan subway. As reported by “Arka” agency, according to preliminary information the carriage stuck in the tunnel between “Republic Square” and “Zoravar Andranik” stations. Attempting to release the brake, 57-year-old machinist Vigen Simonian found himself in a high voltage zone and deceased on the spot. In the words of Yerevan subway Director Paylak Yoylian, the machinist had violated the rules of safety measures, according to which none of the workers of the subway has the right to be next to contact rails.
