“Although the parties of the Karabakh conflict have not come to agreement yet, it cannot be considered that the negotiations have reached an impasse,” – stated US Deputy Secretary of State on Europe and Asia Affairs Elizabeth Jones, who had started her tour to a number of CIS countries. In her words, the United States, which is Co-Chairman of OSCE Minsk Group, is ready to render aid in continuation of the talks. As reported by “Arka” agency, Jones noted that the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan intend to meet again to continue the negotiations. In Elizabeth Jones’s words, this means that “the talks should not be considered as failed”.
Let us note that Deputy Secretary of State will arrive from Kiev to Baku on August 26. Then she will leave for Tbilisi and Yerevan.
