Armenia’s president Robert Kotcharyan has stated that he thinks the paying off of Armenia’s state debt to Russia through the establishment of joint Armenian-Russian enterprises is acceptable. According to the country leader, whether Russia is interested or not in the idea is important now. The question is about the formation of joint enterprises taking as a base Armenian ones. The shares in the collective investment fund of these enterprises will be charged taking into consideration Armenia’s state debt to Russia. “This is the question of serious negotiations”, has said the president. Robert Kotcharyan has confirmed that at his last visit to Moscow he made a corresponding suggestion, which is being examined seriously. The total sum of Armenia’s state debt to Russia is $114 million.
