The Panarmenian games are continuing. The participants of basketball quarterfinal are already known. Yesterday Los Angeles team defeated Cairo 115:64. Yerevan won Salonika basketball team 102:67. Basketball players from Vale – winners of the previous games – beat Vanadzor 121:67. Vale team will meet with Istanbul in the next round. Teheran team, which has won the envoys from Damascus 136:46, will become the rivals of Los Angeles.
Swimmer from Yerevan Dmitry Markarian became twice champion of the Panarmenian games. Swimmer from Yerevan Juliana Mikheeva won her second golden medal, too. Emma Aslanian and Vahe Gabrielian were also on the first step of the pedestal of honour.
Yerevan team showed best results in table tennis, too. The feminine combined team of the capital obtained the title of the strongest, which it had gained during the previous games. Vanadzor sportsmen got the silver.
