OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmen, who completed their visit to Azerbaijan yesterday, have declared a joint statement today. CNA agency received information from diplomatic sources that in the document the mediators expressed concern with the militant declarations in Azerbaijan. “We are worried about the military rhetoric, which increases the risk of resumption of the conflict,” – the statement says. The Co-Chairmen of France, USA and Russia contended that it was necessary to support the favourable climate, which contributed to “the efforts of Presidents Heydar Aliev and Robert Kocharyan, directed towards holding negotiations for achieving comprehensive peace”. Minsk Group Co-Chairmen addressed calls upon the peoples of both countries to recognize the necessity of serious compromise for securing political settlement. Let us remind that lately high official functionaries of Azerbaijan have afforded themselves statements on expediency of resolving the conflict in military ways.
