THE REGULAR MEETING OF ALIEV AND KOTCHARYAN WILL EVIDENTLY TAKE PLACE ON 1-3, AUGUST IN SOCHI



. According to ‘Echo’ newspaper published in Baku, the regular meeting of the presidents Haydar Aliev and Robert Kotcharyan will take place on 1-3, August in Sochi. The meeting will be in the frameworks of the inofficial summit of the countries-heads of CIA. It is not excluded a number of meetings, at the one of which Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, will be present. The presidents will discuss the current negotiation process situation of the Karabakh settlement in informal situation. The minister of foreign affairs of Azerbaijan Vilayat Guliev has confirmed the participation of Heydar Aliev in the forthcoming informal summit of the CIS heads-participants in Sochi. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has pointed out, along with other conflicts in the CIS territory, the Karabakh one will be also discussed, but the head of the Azerbaijan presidental machinery sector Rustam Mamedov who has been addressed with the request to comment by the ‘Echo’ correspondent, neither has confirmed nor has refused the information of the forthcoming meeting of the presidents. ‘ This meeting has to take place soon. The negotiations have to be held not only with the Minsk group mediation but also with the Russia patronage. And I hope a consensus on the conflict settlement will be soon achieved’, he has pointed out. According to R. Mamedov the current situation promotes the negotation success. ‘Both Russia and West are equally interested in the Karabakh problem settlement. This has not happened for long time’, has claimed the high-ranking representative of the Aliev administartion.
