. Today the protocol on the results of the second session of the Armenian-Georgian commission on economic cooperation has been signed in Yerevan. According to Minister of Transportation and Communication Yervand Zakharian, who is also the Co-Chairman of the commission, during the session the parties have come to an agreement on a number of questions. “Arka” agency informs that the participants of the session arranged to keep the favourable terms for traffic rates, which are 14 dollars for a ton. The parties have also decided to re-establish the schedule of paying interest rates for the state debt to Armenia. (A few months ago Georgia declared that it was stopping interest rate payment of the state debt.) The Ministries of Finance of the countries were instructed to negotiate the opportunity of restructuring the debt.
At present the state debt of Georgia to Armenia makes 24 million dollars, 4.5 of which are the debt for the electric power provided by Armenia.
