. In Yerevan, today the 20-th regular session of ministers of the internal affairs of CIS members has started its work. The heads of the MIA of 12 countries including Azerbaijan participate. As Hayk Arutyunyan, the minister of internal affairs of Armenia has stated at the session opening, ” the meeting will make its contribution into the struggle against the criminal and give a new impulse to the cooperation of the bodies of the internal affairs of CIS countries. Andranik Markaryan, the vice-minister of Armenia emphasized the necessary strengthening and development of the CIS country cooperation in political, economic, financial and other processes.
According to “Arka” agency information, the main problem of the day agenda is the existing of current problems in CIS MIA cooperation in different aspects of operational-official activities. At the session it will be studied the fulfillment of the MIA council plan of implementing of intercountry program of joint measures of the struggle against criminal 2000-2003. The ministers will discuss the fulfillment of the CIS program of the struggle against the international terrorism and other extremism performance intended for till 2003. The participants of the session will examine the project of agreement between CIS governments on struggle against the transportation criminal.
