Nose surgery is most popular in Armenia.
“Breast and belly surgery is also popular. At that, most women want to make their breasts smaller,” chairman of the association of plastic surgeons Armen Hovhannisyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.
“The oldest woman who wanted to make the breast size smaller was 64,” he said.
“Implants are ordered abroad, their price reaching 700-1000 euro,” Hovhannisyan said adding that if the parent’s breast is healthy, the implant can’t provoke cancer.
For his part, representative of Nairi medical center Gnel Ananyan noted that the number of nose surgeries is increasing by 10-15% annually.
Asked about the level of plastic surgery in Armenia he said “it fits to our social and economic status.”
He also added that the prices for plastic surgery in Armenia are much lower than in developed countries.
