Yerevan-Jur water tariff policy unclear

Yervan Jur CJSC applies to the RA Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) every year to amend its tariffs.

Director for Clients Relations of Yerevan Jur CJSC Gagik Margaryan told a press conference that the company will submit an application to the PSRC also in 2011 to obtain its conclusion.

However, he refrained from commenting on possible changes in tariffs – whether they will be raised or cut.

The company representative noted that the tariff formation is implemented based on four main components, including the volume of produced water, inflation, Euro/AMD exchange rate and electricity price.

Thus, the new tariff will be formed as a result of correcting these components.

Margaryan added that the annual amendment of tariffs is implemented in compliance with the agreement on water supply network management and rent, while the base tariff will be decreasing, as per the same agreement.
