. Yesterday President Kocharian met with President of the European Parliament Nicole Fontaine. According to President Kocharian, the recent developments in the Karabakh settlement were also discussed at the meeting with Madame Fontaine. Another topic of discussion was the possibility of EU’s expansion. Robert Kocharian also visited the Royal Palace, where he met with Prince Philippe. Bilateral relations and the normalization of the legal framework were discussed at President Kocharian’s meeting with the President of the Chamber of Representatives of the Belgian Federal Parliament. In the Belgian Senate, President Kocharian met with Senators. “Armenia is prepared to continue the negotiations on the Karabakh settlement based on the principles developed in Paris and in Key West,” the President stated. Today, President Kocharian is scheduled to meet with Javier Solana. In the evening, he will attend a concert in St. Michel Cathedral, dedicated to the 1700th anniversary of proclamation of Christianity as state religion in Armenia.
