CALLS TO MILITARY SETTLEMENT OF THE CONFLICT ARE A SIGN OF DESPAIR, AMERICAN MEDIATOR BELIEVES

YEREVAN, June 1. /Mediamax/. American Co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group for Karabakh conflict settlement, Carey Cavanaugh said today that the calls to the military settlement of the Karabakh conflict are a sign of despair.
In response to the question of Armenian journalists at the interactive news conference, organized by the U.S. Department of State, Cavanaugh noted that in his recent public speech Azerbaijani president spoke of the possibility of only political settlement of the dispute.
“The discussions about the possibility of war resumption, or the discussion on the subject – who is the aggressor in this conflict, do not favor the search for peace resolutions,” the American diplomat said. –0–
