YEREVAN, June 1. /Mediamax/. Leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia believe that the states themselves must decide the issues of security and cooperation development in Caucasus.
Mediamax was informed today in the press service of the Armenian President that this was said in the statement of Putin, Aliyev, Kocharian and Shevarnadze signed Thursday in Minsk following the meeting of “Caucasian four”.
At the same time, the leaders of the countries have stressed the importance of active participation of the adequate international mechanisms and organizations in settlement of conflicts and achievement of stability in the Caucasus.
The Presidents “express their concern about spreading of terrorism and extremism in Caucasus, which is a serious threat for the peaceful future of the region, and confirm the necessity of their elimination”. –0–
