RUSSIA IS VITALLY INTERESTED IN THE SOONEST SETTLEMENT OF THE KARABAKH CONFLICT, PUTIN SAID

YEREVAN, May 25. /Mediamax/. President of Russia Vladimir Putin said today in Yerevan that Russia is not going to use “its special relations” with Azerbaijan and Armenia to exert any pressure on “both the agreeing sides”.
As the correspondent of Mediamax reports, Russian President said this at the press conference following the meeting of the leaders of CST member-states, which came to an end today.
“Only Armenia and Azerbaijan can agree on peace, while we, together with the other co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, can be mediators and guarantors of achieved agreements”, President of Russia said. He voiced his hope that peace agreements are achieved in near future.
“And the sooner, the better. Russia is vitally interested in it”, Vladimir Putin said.
