CST MEMBER-COUNTRIES WILL REPULSE THE EFFORTS TO DISTURB PEACE IN CENTRAL ASIA

YEREVAN, May 25. /Mediamax/. “We shall always repulse the efforts to disturb peace and tranquillity in Central Asia,” the joint statement of President of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Russia and Tajikistan says. The statement was signed today in Yerevan following the meeting of leaders of member-countries of Collective Security Treaty.
Mediamax’s correspondent informs that the Presidents have emphasized the importance of formation of rapid reaction collective forces and have stated their intention to “decide the issue in nearest future”.
The statement expresses a concern with the increasing threat of international terrorism and extremism that becomes more coordinated.
The Presidents noted that terrorist and extremist groupings in different countries pursue far-reaching aims such as illegal seizure of power. –0–
