“Interrupted Song” film has website

On January 18, Moscow hosted presentation of the official website (www.prervannaya-pesnya.ru) of the first feature film about the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations – “Interrupted Song”. The event brought together 50 representatives of the Armenian and Azerbaijani communities of Moscow.

The site consists of 6 sections presenting detailed information on the project and its authors. The section “Karabakh conflict” tells about the conflict history. Meanwhile, both positive articles about the film in media and references to scandalous publications of the Azerbaijani media are placed in the “Media about us” section.

The idea of creating the “Interrupted Song” film belongs to a group of young Armenians residing in Moscow. The film aims to impartially tell about the reality, which has formed through centuries and which serves as a barrier in peaceful coexistence of the two people. The film authors do not aim to support stance of one of the film heroes. Through debates in the film, they aim to find some common thing that may serve as the way out from the current situation.

The premiere screening of the film will take place late in May. The film will be screened in Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, U.S., France, Georgia, Turkey, India, etc. Arik Manukyan is the film director, while Ashot Poghosyan is the producer.
