YEREVAN, May 19. /Mediamax/. “Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia have frequently told me about their serious adherence to peace settlement of the Karabakh dispute”. Thus the U.S. co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group Carey Cavanaugh replied to the request of the special correspondent of Mediamax in the USA to comment on the calls to military settlement of the conflict, which official Baku representatives so often state. Cavanaugh said both the presidents understand that only peace talks will provide the establishment of long-term peace in the region.
Cavanaugh said also that the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan and the world community realize that freezing the Karabakh conflict is fraught with much danger. –0–
