PRESIDENT KOCHARIAN MUST DEFEND ARMENIA’S AND NKR’S NATIONAL INTERESTS, AN MP STATED

YEREVAN, May 18. /Mediamax/. After Levon Ter-Petrosian’s resignation, President of Armenia Robert Kocharian took all the responsibility to speak at the talks for Karabakh conflict settlement also on behalf of Nagorno Karabakh Republic (NKR), head of “Constitutional Right” Union, deputy of the parliament Hrant Khachatrian said today in the National press-club.
There is nothing blamable in it, if this argument is used for strategic purposes, Khachatrian said. He noted that the fact of NKR’s independence shouldn’t be in question. The parliamentarian stressed that the “mission President Kocharian has undertaken must be aimed at the defense of the national interests of Armenia and NKR”. –0–
