ARMENIA SHOULD NOT GO TO COMPROMISES IN KARABAKH CONFLICT SETTLEMENT, ARMENIAN POLITICIAN THINKS

YEREVAN, May 18. /Mediamax/. Recent statements of Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian reflect President Kocharian’s position and some other details of his concepts on Karabakh conflict settlement, head of “Constitutional Right” Union, deputy of the parliament Hrant Khachatrian said today in the National press-club.
He said it’s obvious that the authorities of the country have given initial agreement on returning “liberated territories, which once were a part of historical Armenia”. Khachatrian thinks Armenia shouldn’t go to any compromises in the course of the dispute settlement, because as a result of the national-liberating fight it returned “territories that belong to it by right”.
“First of all, the world community must recognize Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh as a reunited independent state. Only after that the issue of the borders of the South Caucasian region will be possible to solve”, leader of “Constitutional Right” Union said. –0–
