COMMUNIST PARTY HELD A MASS MEETING IN SUPPORT OF ARMENIA’S JOINING TO RUSSIA-BELARUS UNION

YEREVAN, May 15. /Mediamax/. Today, at the initiative of the Communist Party of Armenia (CPA) and other left-wing forces, a mass meeting was held in Yerevan, the participants of which demanded that an extraordinary sitting of the National Assembly be summoned.
The aim of the extraordinary sitting was to become the adoption of the address to the President of Armenia Robert Kocharian, demanding the realization of a referendum on the issue of Armenia’s accession to Russia-Belarus Union.
According to the assessment of the organizers of the rally, 150 thousand people took part in it. Representatives of the Armenian community of Moscow were also present, who expressed “full support to the right undertaking of their compatriots”.
Appeals for President’s and Armenian Foreign Minister’s resignation could also be heard at the meeting. In the opinion of one of the speakers, Minister Oskanian and President Kocharian “go to the sale of Armenian territories in exchange for multi-million credits, promised by the great powers”. –0–
