YEREVAN, May 15. /Mediamax/. The initiative of the faction of the Communist Party of Armenia (CPA) to summon today an extraordinary sitting of the parliament to turn to the president of the country to hold a referendum on Armenia’s joining to Russia-Belarus Union became a failure.
As the parliamentary correspondent of Mediamax reports, it was due to the efforts of the leader of “Unity” faction Galust Sahakian, who asked a 20-minute break before voting on this question. As the break was announced right after the end of the regular sitting of the parliament, this, in fact, predetermined the fate of the communists’ initiative. –0–
