YEREVAN, May 15. /Mediamax/. Press secretary of the Foreign Ministry of Armenia Dzyunik Aghajanian refused to comment on the statements of the head of the Party of Civil Unity of Azerbaijan, Igbal Agazade, which were spread today by CNA agency.
“I have no wish to comment on the statements of the Azeri commentator, who has nothing to do with the negotiation process of Karabakh conflict resolution,” Aghajanian said today in the interview to Mediamax.
What Agazade was specifically saying is that in accord with the agreements of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, 6 Azeri regions must be freed, including that of Shushi and 5 contiguous villages.
He also said that under the jurisdiction of Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh is allowed to have National Guards and become a free economic zone. At the same time, Gadrut, Askeran, Stepanakert and 2 other regions of the former Nagorno-Karabakh autonomous region will remain under the Armenian community’s control, Agazade said. –0–
